PASTIRIK, MICHAEL “MIKE” DANIEL - It is with shock and profound sadness, that we announce the passing of our son, brother, nephew, and cousin, Michael Pastirik. He was born on February 11, 1996 in Fort McMurray, AB to Daniel and Pamela (Breen) Pastirik. He was a grade 10 student at Saint John High School. Michael was a gifted guitarist and a true friend to all. Michael enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding and just plain “chillin” with his friends. He had a gift for understanding others’ needs and challenges in life. Michael was a trusted confidant to his friends and was loved tremendously by all. He had a special place in his heart for his Camp Glenburn family and had very fond memories of his time there as a camper, CIT, and Junior Counselor these past few summers. He leaves behind to grieve his parents, Dan and Pam; his brothers: Max and Nicholas; maternal grandmother, Pauline Breen; paternal grandmother, Margaret Pastirik; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Michael Breen and paternal grandfather, Paul Pastirik.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 10 AM from St. Pius X Church, 316 Somerset Street. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
