GALLANT, ALFRED - 1929 - 2012 - Grande-Digue - Alfred Gallant, 83, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Born in Grande-Digue on March 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Ovila and Eva (Donelle) Gallant. Alfred was retired from the Moncton Hospital. Alfred will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeanita (LeBlanc); his two sons, Marc (Becky) of Moncton, Terrence (Lisa) of Brampton, ON; his three sisters, Jeanne Hébert (Pierre), Alma Pellerin (Eddie), Léona Goguen; his brother, Joseph (Simonne); his three grandchildren, Natasha, Ashley; Jacob; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Ulysse, Louis, Adrien, Camille and Léo.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, April 9 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, April 10 from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Tuesday, April 10 at 11 am. Donations to the Canadian Lung Association, Friends of The Moncton Hospital or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
