Passed peacefully away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit, Thomas Kenton Pitt, Ph.D, aged 88 years. Predeceased by granddaughter Michelle (our special angel); brother, John; sister Jean and parents Thomas J. and Edith F. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 57 years Ethel (nee Stacey): son John (Colleen); daughters Catherine (Douglas) Murphy, Margaret (Gary) Dinn, Jennifer (Keith) Young, Susan (Christopher) Power; grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Stacie, Nicholas, Kenton, Leah, Megan, Colin, Devon, Laura and Jonathan; brother David and large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place at his request. Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 319 Freshwater Road on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral will take place on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the Columbarium at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Thomas’ granddaughter Michelle to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
