MOUNTAIN, ERIC - Mr. Eric Andrew Mountain, husband of Jean (Mills) Mountain, of Alcorn Drive, Blackville, passed away at his residence early in the morning on April 6, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Gray Rapids, NB, Eric was the son of the late Freeman and Ethel (Crocker) Mountain. He was a laborer for Blackville Lumber Mill and a member of Saint Andrew’s United Church, Blackville. Besides his wife Jean, Eric is survived by one daughter, Vicki (Gregory) O’Neill of Quispamsis; three sons, Keith of Blackville, Rodney (Lori) of Halifax, NS and David (Becky) Mills of Kingston, ON; one sister, Ella Curtis of Blackville and five grandchildren, Melissa Mountain, Zachary Mountain, Laura O’Neill, Joshua Mountain and Conner O’Neill. Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by two brothers, Shirley and Robert and one brother-in-law, Byron.
Mr. Mountain is rested at Saint Andrew’s United Church Hall, Blackville on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held today, Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2 pm at Saint Andrew’s United Church in Blackville with Dean Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Saint Andrew’s United Church Cemetery at a later date. In Mr. Eric Mountain’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a memorial of one’s choice.
