DAIGLE, EDMOND - 1930 - 2012 - Shediac - Edmond Daigle, 81, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 after a short illness. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Thadée Daigle and the late Émerise (Richard) Daigle. A retired Truck Driver. Edmond was also a member of the Club d’Age D’Or of Scoudouc, NB. Besides his wife Hermine Daigle, of Shediac, Edmond will be sadly missed by his daughter, Patsy LeBlanc (Michel) of Memramcook, stepchildren, Rosemonde (Vic) of Memramcook, Jeannine (Charles) of Scoudouc, Georgette (Roger) of Scoudouc, Paul (Ginette) of Shediac, three brothers, Ronald (Annette) of Cocagne, Normand (Rita) of Dieppe, Réginald (Doreen) of Cocagne, three sisters, Emilia McCaie (late Gerald) of Moncton, Vincence Bourgoin (Edmond) of Dieppe, Doris Richard (Emile) of Dieppe; sister-in-law, Doris Daigle of Dieppe, two grandchildren, Roger (Carole) and Marc (Tammy), great grandchildren, Noah, step-grandchildren, Daniel, Gabriel, Valerie and Mathieu, step-great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Solomon. Besides his parents, Edmond was predeceased by his first wife, Béatrice Daigle, son, Gérard, granddaughter, Lynn, brothers, Alyre and Emery and sisters, Dora and Cécilia.
In respect to Edmond’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Joseph RC Church in Shediac on Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at 10:30 am, with a reception to follow at the parish hall. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB later in the spring. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
