Ronald Kincade

KINCADE, RONALD DOUGLAS - A Celebration-of-Life Service and Reception will be held for Ron Kincade, one of Saint John’s business leaders and a long time Real Estate Professional, on April 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. James the Less Church at 1760 Rothesay Road. The husband of Pauline (Kilpatrick) Kincade for 61 years, he has gone home to the Lord in loving peace on April 10th at Saint John Regional Hospital after a short bout with cancer. Ron recently achieved his most cherished accomplishment with the publishing of his second Christian book “God’s Holy Nation.” A fourteen-year culmination of study, prayer and research, the “provocative and yet inspiring” publication was his joy and final achievement to a happy and successful life. Born in Codys, NB, on August 22, 1930, Ron enjoyed a long career beginning with teaching school, sales, being a CPR police officer and then a shift superintendent at both Saint John Sugar Refinery and Montreal Redpath Sugar. He took his wife to Montreal in 1952 where their three children were born. After 11 years, the family moved back to Saint John and Hampton, NB and in 1968, Ron found his career calling as a real estate agent and broker. A top sales agent at Central Trust Company for several years, Ron then ran his own companies and dealt with mainly real estate and property management. It was a labor of love for his whole family. In his spare time and in retirement, Ron enjoyed studying the bible, sharing his testimony about Jesus with others, golfing, dancing, playing the fiddle, bridge and most card games and going to Florida during the winter months. The son of the late James and Daisy (Browne) Kincade, he is survived by his loving wife and business partner, Pauline, daughters: Debra (Gregory) Renton of Dipper Harbour and Joni (Laurens) Plomp of Houston, Texas and son Steve (Judy) Kincade of Saint John. Ron’s siblings are Hazel Doris McLean, Norval Kincade, Bessie Kincade, Vera Erb, Velzora Todd, Joanne Galbraith and Ronald MacDonald. Those with the Lord are: Zelda Carle, Russell Kincade, Verna Kincade, Donna Varga and Margaret Shaw. Ron is also survived by 46 nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Ron’s grandchildren include Jennifer Ryan, Laura Snow, Catherine Scheller, Daniel Renton, Stephanie Kincade, James Kincade, Jessica Graham, Michelle Stockford, Matthew Stockford and the late Alanna Plomp. Great-grandchildren who love Papa are Jenna Snow, Morgan Phillips, Hunter Ryan, Maia Snow, Tyler Graham, Landon Ryan, Kate Graham, Gregor Graham, Ava Galbraith, Harper Scheller and Monica Ryan.
There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 21st at the church and again on Sunday at 1 p.m., an hour before the service. After the reception, Ron will rest at Titusville Hill Cemetery in Titusville, NB. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Reid’s Funeral Home in Hampton (506-832-5541.) Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to his church St. James the Less in Rothesay or to the donor’s choice. Online memorials and condolences may be made at www.reidsfh.com
