ILLSLEY, Carroll Harmon – 87, of Middleton, NS passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in the Heart of the Valley Care Centre, Middleton. Born in Lakeville, Kings Co., he was a son of the late Emmerson and Edith (Jackson) Illsley. Carroll worked for Thompson’s Transfer, Acadian Lines and the Parts Department, Bruce Motors, Middleton. He was a retired member of the Middleton Fire Department and member of the Middleton Baptist Church. Carroll enjoyed camping with Betty for 35 years. He is survived by special friend Dorothea Hiltz, Auburn; brothers, Boyd Illsley, Toronto; Lloyd Illsley, Guelph, ON; Sheldon Illsley, Fredericton, NB; brother-in-law, Jack (Sandra) Boyd, Middleton; niece, BJ (Serge) LeBlanc, Ottawa; nephews, Scott (Christine) Boyd, Toronto and Jamie (Allyson) Boyd, Vancouver, BC. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife the former Betty Boyd; brothers, George, Wayne and Glenn. By Carroll’s request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service was held Thursday, April  12, 2012 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Donations in Carroll’s memory may be made to the Middleton Fire Department or Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
