Loving father of Andrew, Leslie (Wes) and Graham. Brother of Catherine (David) Clare.
David was a man of many diverse talents; actor, broadcaster, author, pilot, sailor and singer. He will be missed by all of his family and many friends.
He was the son of the late B.M. and Maxine (Sutherland) Nichols. He was brought up in the Shipyard and attended Argyle, Woodill and Sydney Academy where in 1959 he was elected as the first Head Boy. He was a member of the first graduating class of the “new” Academy. After graduating from Mount Allison University, he worked at Radio Station CBI (CBC) and from there to CBC television in Montreal. While in Sydney he played the lead in Sydney Rotary Club's production of “Carousel”.
Burial service to be held on Friday, May 4 at 12 noon at St. John's Cemetery, Halifax. All welcome.
