St. Paul’s Pictou County : David L.G. Thompson age 74, of St. Paul’s Pictou County passed away with his family by his side on Monday April 23, 2012 in the QE 11 Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in St. Paul’s on June 24th,1937 he was a son of the late Harry A. and Lily Alice (Williams ) Thompson. David was a resident of St. Paul’s all of his life where he was engaged in dairy and blueberry farming along with community affairs.
Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Catherine Hingley; daughter, Susan Alice; son, William David; brother; Hugh (Linda) of St. Paul’s; nieces; Catherine (Bruce) Enfield of Blue Mtn.,Melissa (Stephen) Leslie of Whitby ,Ont.; numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home 256 King St. New Glasgow . Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with Bill Watson officiating assisted by Rev. Gail Johnson-Murdock
Burial will be in the family plot in Bridgeville Cemetery. Donations in memory of David may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
