PENNELL, GLENN MERVYN - The death of Glenn M. Pennell of Saint John, husband of the late Donna Pearl Pennell (Elgert), occurred on Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born at MacGreggor, MB, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Lillian J. (Argue) Pennell. Glenn was employed as a Beater Engineer at Rothesay Paper for many years until his retirement in 1990. He was an avid golfer and curler. Glenn was a member of the Hampton Golf Club and Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club. Survived by his son, Donald E. Pennell (Darlene Sloan) of Campbell River, BC; daughter, Deborah Dulisse (the late Vince Dulisse) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON; grandchildren, Chelsie and Brodie Saunders, Rhonda Batman (Cory), and Darren Dulisse; great grandson, Brandon, special friends: Edie Martin; Cathy, Ryan and Danielle White, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Glenn is predeceased by his brothers, Lorne and Garnet Pennell, and sister, Hazel Anderson. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sheehan and the staff of the Restorative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital and also to Dr. Dorey and the Staff at 4CN at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 from Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment to take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to P.R.O.
