Passed peacefully away on April 25, 2012 at her home in Tors Cove in the presence of her loving family Mary Ellen (Molly) Mackey (nee Duggan), age 71 years. Predeceased by her son Aiden, parents James and Elizabeth, and brothers Stephen and Kenneth. Leaving to celebrate her life her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Aiden; daughters: Linda (Pat Rossiter), Glenda (Barry O'Neill), and Tracey (Jeff Nelson); sons: Kenneth and Stan (Peg); and 4 cherished grandchildren: Stephen, Evan, Aideen, and Brady. Best friend of 52 years, Emmie Luby; brothers: James, John, Roche, Pius, and Dennis; sisters: Bridie and Christina; special niece Cindy; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place at Molly's request. Visitation will be at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls on Sunday, April 29th, 12 noon - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. and Monday, April 30th, 12 noon - 5 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. with Mass of Christian burial from Sacred Heart Church, Tors Cove, May 1st at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Tors Cove Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Molly was a very gentle, caring, and loving woman who fought her illness with courage and dignity. She will be truly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. She is an inspiration to all.
