Grandmother, Kathleen "Charlotte" Lee (nee Noble) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Royal Inland Hospital on November 20, 2007. Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 51 years William "Bill" Lee, her children Lynne Berndt of Creston, BC, Gordie Lee (Pat Isherwood) of Hinton, AB, Lyle (Brigitte) Lee also of Hinton, AB, her grandchildren Deanna (Wayne) Smith, Derrick Lee, Craig and Mandy Berndt, Jaidyn and Brennen Lee, great grandchildren Austin, Alyssa and Alanna Smith. Charlotte is also survived by her brothers Ken (Peggy) Noble of Port Alberni, BC and Richard (Kenda) Noble of Powell River, BC, as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was predeceased by her father Arthur Noble in 1984, her mother Kathleen Noble (nee Morrow) in 1993 and her baby granddaughter Kathleen Berndt in 1988. Charlotte was born June 16, 1937 in Medicine Hat, AB. At a young age the Noble family settled at Lee Lake, AB where her family farmed for many years. The family then moved to Bellevue, AB in the Crowsnest Pass where Charlotte at the age of 14 met and fell in love with a boy from Blairmore, Bill Lee. They dated for many years and married on May 12, 1956. Once married, they traveled extensively working in construction and mining, eventually retiring in Kamloops in 1998. Charlotte's passion in life was her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were always a priority in her life. The Lee family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors who cared for Mom at the RIH. A very special thanks goes out to Sue in emergency and Shelby, Nicole and Roland on 3 West for making mom's last days comfortable and peacefully. Also a very special thank you to Dr. Mia, Dr. Mosewich and Dr. Navratil for the wonderful care given to our wife and mother over the last 10 years. A special mention and thank you to Dr. Brian Westerberg and Cindy Gustin of St. Pauls Hospital in Vancouver for giving Charlotte the gift of hearing through the Cochlear Ear Implant for the past 3 years. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to do so, donations can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Association. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 24, 2007 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Mary Widmer officiating. Cremation to follow.
