August 5, 1919 - May 5, 2012. It is with great sadness that the family of Annie Reid announces her sudden passing on May 5, 2012 at the age of 92. Annie was a longtime resident of Heart’s Delight-Islington and more recently of St. Luke’s Home, St. John’s. Annie leaves to mourn her sons Eldred Chislett (Shirley, NL), Eric Chislett (Pamela, AB), daughters Berenice Taylor (Gerald, BC), Eleanor Gillingham (Ross, NL) and Sheila Sills (Jack, ON), sister Hilda Belbin, brothers Gordon Chubbs(Doreen) and Harold Chubb (Marina) and sister-in-law Elsie Chislett. She also leaves to mourn 9 grandchildren; Wanda, Tony, Jamie, Kristen, Michael, Katherine, Daryl, Jennifer, Susan; and 10 great grandchildren Ryan, Mark, Michael, Stephen, Pierre, Alyssa, Nola, Anna, Ariel and Jorja. Predeceased by husbands Clarence Chislett (1950) and Robert Reid (1992); father and mother, Robert and Maud Chubbs; sisters Margaret Lee, Adelaide MacDonald, Mary Martin and brother Robert Chubbs. Annie’s children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren were the joy of her life and she will be missed by all. Resting at St. Matthews Parish Hall, Heart’s Delight - Islington on Monday, May 7, 2:00 - 8:00 pm and Tuesday, May 8, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Funeral service to be held at St. Matthews Anglican Church on Tuesday, May 8, at 3:00 pm with interment to follow at St. Matthews Anglican Church Cemetery, Heart’s Delight. The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff, residents, and volunteers of St. Luke’s Home, St. John’s where our mother was a resident for the past 10 years. Our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to whom family meant everything. Mom lived a full life, loved and was loved and cast her influence over us all. We will miss her greatly.
