It is with great sadness that the family of the late Yvonne Hickey announce her passing on Monday, May 7th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Jim; four children: Todd, North Vancouver, BC, Michael, Calgary, AB, Michelle (Boyd Collier), Corner Brook and Robbie (Michelle), Corner Brook; five grandchildren: Kristine, Brandon, Danielle, Brittany and Tyler; brothers and sisters: Harold (Annie) Wheeler, Gerald (Alice) Wheeler, Elias (Frances) Wheeler, Joan Hoover (Clair) and Edna Osmond (Albert); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Clifton and Ida Wheeler; sister: Mercedes Yocum Wheeler and brother: Alton Wheeler (Ruby). Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 11th at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Church, Humber Road with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
