It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Dave McBurnie May 2, 2012.

He is survived by his loving and completely devoted wife of 49 years, Sandra McBurnie, his daughter Carrie Smeaton (Dave), Debbie Dalke (Brad), Wendy McBurnie (daughter-in-law), best friend and son Bob McBurnie (Tara): nine grandchildren Sarra (Smacks), Devon (White lightening), Katee (Tatee), Jordan (Yord), Brady (Braid), Megan (Muff), Tylar (Dolly), Jade (lovely baby girl, terrorist), Eddy (our baby Ed).

Dave was predeceased by his other best friend and son Edward McBurnie.

Dave was born in Powell River, BC on June 1, 1941. In 1977 Dave moved his family to Kamloops where he and his wife ran a ceramic business, but it was real estate that he found to be his true calling, as he excelled at relationships with his customers. He loved to golf and anyone who had a chance to golf with him would say it was a good laugh, as his sense of humor and quick whit was always appreciated. Dave and Sandra have been the best grandparents any kid could hope for. They spent countless hours of quality time with all of them. Sarra, Katee & Jordan spent every summer taking a special holiday with them. Brady spent countless hours golfing and discussing sporting events, Megan will miss her biggest fan at swim meets. Papa always made sure to tell her she was his hero. Tylar his dolly always enjoyed a big hug and squeeze from her papa. Each of them has wonderful memories of their papa. Dad you have left us now, but you are in each and every one of our hearts and minds. We will cherish our memories and we all know we will see you back at camp on TUESDAY!

Special thanks to Scott Carson our special family friend for being such a constant and sincere support. Dr. Scott Carson for taking care of home calls for Dave's Chiropractic needs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Sahali Fellowship Church on Summit Dr. at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the meet and greet auxiliary on the cancer floor at Royal Inland Hospital or Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice.
