(November 1, 1943 – May 7, 2012)– Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in the presence of his family on Monday, May 7th, 2012. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Jessie Thomas; youngest brother Wayne; sister Elizabeth (Betty) Courage; as well as his friend and companion Kathleen (Kay) Tapper (March 26, 2012). Leaving to mourn, his special son Matthew (Ashley Jerrett); precious granddaughter Brooklyn and his friend Rosetta (Matthew’s mother). Also left with loving memories, two sisters: Marjorie Critch (Lorne) and Noreen Donovan (Martin), N.B.; four brothers: Herb, Fred (Molly), Al (Barb) and Robert; brother-in-law Graham Courage; Kay’s family; the Hartery family and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Sekhar and the staff on 4 West at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Thursday at 2 p.m. from Caul’s Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
