MOORCROFT, JAMES E. - James E. Moorcroft of Temperance Vale, NB passed away May 13, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. James was born in Hartfield, NB in 1927, a son of the late Frank and Nora (Bradley) Moorcroft. He enjoyed the outdoors, from gardening, fishing, hunting to cutting his firewood. James was employed most of his life as a trucker. He is survived by his wife, Luella M. (Mooers) Moorcroft; his children, Dianna Tait (Loren), Fredericton, NB, Brenda Tretiak (Bryan), Calgary, AB, Kenneth Moorcroft (Marg), Acme, AB, Debbie Christie (George), Central Waterville, NB, Stewart Moorcroft (Anita), Calgary, AB and Stephanie Hoekman (Roger), Hainesville, NB; his grandchildren, Tom Knox (Debbie), Paul Knox (Jackie), Heather Tait, Krista Tait, Bryan Tretiak Jr. (Jennifer), Tricia Tretiak (John), Trista Moorcroft, Jason Silver (Lucy), Belinda Christie, Tyrel Christie (Mindy), Kylie Lindburg and Ashley Hoekman (Devon); his great grandchildren, Kaylan, Lynden, Sawyer, Braxton, Taylor, Tianna, Pyeper, Raylan, Grayson and Skye; his sisters, Verna McElwain (Alton), Hartfield, NB, Eunice Clark (Fred), Campbell Settlement, NB and Zella Barrow, Northampton, NB; his brothers, Arwood Moorcroft (Eleanor), Pokiok, NB and Perley Moorcroft (Cora), Dumfries, NB; two sisters-in -law, Myrtle Moorcroft, Upper Queensbury, NB and Marie Moorcroft, Rossville, NB and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a granddaughter, Sabrina Christie, two sisters, Helen Ames and Matilda Bragdon, two brothers, Johnny and Harry Moorcroft, a son-in-law, Stephen Knox, a brother-in-law, Marshall Barrow and a sister-in-law, Norma Moorcroft. Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Hal Babcock and Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Temperance Vale Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of James, the family has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Temperance Vale Cemetery.
