It is with great sadness that the family of Kate Proctor announce her recent passing. God called her home on May 10, 2012. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Sarah Mirasty, 3 sisters and 2 brothers, she leaves to mourn her husband of 57 years Earl, proud son Ken and his wife, Stephanie, ever-loving daughters Brenda Mirasty, and Susan Horsnall, grandchildren, Jamie, Kenny and Kyla Horsnall, Nick, Justin, and Christian Ross, great-grandchildren Keneisha, Jazmymm, Peighton Horsnall, and Gabriel Ross, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many extended family. Kate was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who deeply loved her family. She dedicated her beautiful life to us. Mom was born in La Ronge, SK on Oct. 22, 1931 where she spent her youth. In the early 1950's, she moved to Saskatoon where she met, fell in love with, and married Dad. They started their family there, then moved to Moose Jaw in 1962. She enjoyed gardening, raising turkeys and chickens, and the many trips to Buffalo Pound for family picnics. Her pastimes included watching old movies, playing cards, and enjoying an occasional game of bingo. We would like to thank the compassionate staff at Providence Place for their love and support during the past four years. In lieu of flowers donations to Providence Place in Mom's memory would be greatly appreciated. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 1:00pm at Parkview Funeral Chapel.
