On May 11, 2012, Mr. Frank August Vinnie passed away peacefully at Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 70 years. Survived by his loving wife Margaret Peters and daughters: Carrie (Wright), Vicki (Keith), Joyce (Gary); sons Faron (Harla), Bryon (Vivian), Kirby (Sawas), Ray (Sally), Michael (Anne); grandchildren Kyle (Nikki), Lacy, Colin, Kirby Marie, Kelsey, Mathew, Dalton, Ashley, Alecia, Jada, Charlene, Madeline, Joshua, Stephan, Spotted Eagle, Lone White Wolf, Crystal, Sienna, Mah'Piya, Charmaine; great grandchildren Gracie, Catori, Trin, Hudson and sisters Margaret, Marie (Ed) and Irene (Buster).

Frank was predeceased by his parents Pete and Mary Ann (Sawann) Vinnie, sisters Annie, Rose and Vera and Agnus (Muggie) and brothers Alec (Chap) and Dave.

Frank was born in Kamloops and lived in Pinantan, B.C. for most of his younger years, attending school at the old Pinantan School House for grades 1 - 8. He was raised by his older sister Irene (Sito) who continued to care for her little brother throughout his illness.

He met Charlotte Manuel whom he had five children, they lived in Pinantan where he became a skilled logger.

He later met Margaret Peters and their blended family of eight lived and worked at Harper Ranch where Frank and Marg worked for over 35 years. Through these years the Kerr family became Frank's family.

Frank was a man of many talents and gifts. He knew the ranch like the back of his hand. He was a skilled logger, hunter and was an amazing rancher. He had an immense knowledge of the Tk'emlups te Secwepemc land and spent much time in the bush.

Frank' awesome sense of humor, wit and generosity will be greatly missed.

The Wake will be held at Frank's house located at 772 East Shuswap Road, Kamloops, B.C. beginning on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Joseph's Church located at 200 Chilcotime Road, Kamloops on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.

Heartfelt thanks to following: Tk'emlups te Secwepemc Social Development, Qwemstin Health Society, Dr. Michael Wilson, Royal Inland Hospital, Marjorie Willoughby Hospice and Aunty Sito for her love, devotion and support.
