Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Centre on May 13, 2012, Ellen McGrath, age 82 years. Predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Marie White; sisters: Margaret and Clare; and brothers: Michael, Martin, and Thomas. Leaving to mourn Patrick, husband of 61 years; daughters: Judy (Reg O’Neill) and Bernice (Claude Soper); sons: John (Janet), Brendan, Brian (Heather), Robert (Debbie), and Paul. Eight precious grandchildren: Stephanie, John, and David McGrath; John and Jennifer O’Neill; Justin McGrath; and Erin and Sarah Soper; three beautiful great-grandchildren: Hannah, Declan, and baby Samuel. Also leaving to mourn, sisters: Carmel Crane, Catherine Hayward, Barbara Chafe, and Marcella O’Driscoll; two brothers: George and John’ as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, May 15 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 16 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church on Patrick Street. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Mount Pearl Special Olympics or a charity of one’s choice.
