Arthur Melvin Weatherby
Weatherby, Arthur Mervin – 80, Harmony passed away at his home May 14, 2012. Born in Manitoba, January 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Norman and Lillian (Truscott) Weatherby. Arthur worked for 25 years at Farmer’s Dairy. Following this he farmed with his son Larry. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, camping and playing cards. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene (Ettinger); sons, Kenneth (Shelley), Fred (Kathy), Larry (Marsha); grandchildren, Adam, Edmonton, Alberta, Chester (Jenn), Kingston, Ont., Sarah (Matt), Fredericton, NB, Ashlea (Jason), Nita (Mitch) Cox, Chrissy (Jeff), Larry (Jay), Ray; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carmalitta (Robert) Leger, Shirley MacCabe, Joan (Roger) Langille, Norma (Joe) Lambourne, Linda (Edward) Niles; brothers, Howard (Mary), Charles (Audrey), Arnold (Katherine); brother-in law, Raymond (Ada) Ettinger; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Rita Smith; sister-in-law, Gladys Weatherby; brothers-in-law, Geordie Smith, Floyd MacCabe, Jack Reid. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16th from 7-9 pm; memorial service on Thursday, May 17th at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Sue King-Darby officiating. Interment in Harmony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harmony Cemetery or a charity of choice.
