Passed peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2012, in her 85th year, Sarah Elizabeth Jones (nee Newhook) of St. John’s, formerly of Norman’s Cove. Predeceased by her husband Thomas (1981); brother Kenneth (1988); and sister Gladys (2011). Leaving to mourn with loving memories, her children: Gerry (Kim O’Reilly), Doug, Jocelyn (Bill Meadus), Rick (Janice), and Christine (Gary Mullaly); nine grandchildren: Ricky, Melissa, Matthew, Sarah, Michael, Gary, Nichole, Natalie, and Hayley; three great-grandchildren: Madden, Brooklyn, and Sean; as well as other relatives and friends. Many thanks to special friend Lynn Spurrell, as well as the 8th floor staff of Tiffany Village for the love and care they showed to our Mom. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Wednesday, May 16, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., and on Thursday, May 17, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
