FAGAN, JOHN E. - John E. Fagan, 71, of Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Aurel and Margaret (Taylor) Fagan. John was a retired District Manager for Kmart (with 34 years service) and attended St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting and fishing in his younger years, and enjoyed spending precious time with his family. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Muriel (Brideau); children, Derek M. Fagan (Holly) of Memramcook and Daryl P. Fagan of Moncton; precious grandson, Corey Genge of St. John’s, NL; brother-in-law, Rene Brideau (Cindy), Sault Ste Marie, ON; sisters-in-law, Betty Anne Dowdal (Carl) of Sudbury, ON, Gloria Brideau, Colorado, US, Carolyn Brideau, Montreal, PQ and Priscilla Sharron (Jon) of Windsor, ON; several nieces and nephews.
In honoring John’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, May 19, 2012, 10:00 am, Rev. Michael Toner officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
