At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Saturday May 19, 2012, of Audrey Aletha Powers, of Charlottetown, age 86 years. Born at Alberton on July 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Perley and Winnifred (nee A'Hearn) McNeill. She is survived by her partner of 39 years, David Dow of Charlottetown. Dear mother to Brenda (Wolfgang) Teuber of Phoenix, AZ; Debbie (Gary) Inman of Alberton; Gregory Powers of Vancouver B.C.; Jocelyn (Eric) Thorne of Saint John, N.B.; Olga (Sean) Fraser of Charlottetown; Dennis Powers of Alberton; and Rhonda Powers of Charlottetown. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and by her 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Olga Rogerson of Charlottetown. She was predeceased by her husband James Powers, a grandson, Michael Gallant, and by her siblings Frank, Raymond, Margaret Burke, George, Glenn, Stephen, Lloyd, Jerry and Vance. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Private family visitation only. A public funeral will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon May 22nd at 3 p.m., Rev.Michael Painchaud officiating. Interment to take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
