MOOERS, FERNE DORIS - Ferne D. Mooers of Temperance Vale, NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family May 26, 2012 at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB. She was born at Lower Hainesville, NB, in 1932, a daughter of the late Floyd and Gladys (Hanson) Jewett. Ferne was an adherant of the Maple Ridge Wesleyan Church and was an avid quilter. Ferne is survived by her son, Fred Mooers (Selina), Noonan, NB; a sister, Margorie Butler-Grey, Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Brent Mooers (Jessica), Millville, NB, Stephanie Boone (Daniel), Burtts Corner, NB, Kim Greencorn (Shawn), Pokiok, NB; great grandchildren, Rachel, Matthew, Brody, Carson and Bryanna; two sisters in law, Isabelle Grant and Luella Moorcroft both of Temperance Vale, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edison Leslie Mooers in 1988.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 3 pm with Rev. Wayne Blinn and Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Temperance Vale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brody Boone, Daniel Boone, Shawn Greencorn, Jason Silver, Terry Jones and Roger Hoekman. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ferne, the family has suggested the Pine Grove Nursing Home and the Alzheimer Society.
