FERGUSON, WILLIAM ARTHUR “FERGIE” - It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Fergie of Glen Falls, devoted husband for 62 years of Jean (Niles) Ferguson of Glen Falls. Fergie went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2012, from the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born June of 1929 he was son of the late Ward and Janet (Clark) Ferguson. Fergie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend; he was an avid Golfer and Cribbage player and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Fergie was a member of the Calvary Temple and the Hampton Golf & Country Club. He was a long time employee of Sears for many years and worked as a manager and in sales. Both Fergie and his wife Jean were regulars at the “The Light Spot” where he loved to sing his favorite hymn “Because He Lives”. Besides his loving wife Jean, Fergie is survived by his sons Arthur William “Skip” (Debbie) of Beaver Bank, NS, Michael Ward (Lori) of Airdrie, AB and Randall Scott (Donna) of Sterling, ON; daughters Janet Marlene Ferguson of Vancouver, BC, Krista Lynn Boucher (David) of Saint John and Lori Ann Ferguson (Mike Fretz) of Vancouver, BC; brother Everett “Skip” (Barb) of Saint John; grandchildren Aaron (April), Brad (Tanya), Elaina (Garrett), Alicia (Mike), Sheldon, Lindsay and Rebecca extended grandchildren Kristy, Kyle and Tara; nine precious great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Jim and Lou.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday and Sunday, June 2nd and 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Calvary Temple, 93 Sydney Street on Monday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
