Claude Bouvrette
BOUVRETTE, CLAUDE - 1934 -2012 - Claude passed away quietly on June 3rd, 2012 at home in Irishtown surrounded by his family after a two year courageous battle with cancer. Claude was born in St. Therese, Quebec. He is predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Marguerite Bouvrette and his brothers Benoit and Jacques all of St. Therese. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn and his three daughters Wendy Purdy, Jacki Steeves (Kevin) and Claudine Dionne (Mike Grant). He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Purdy (Moncton), Terry and Ashley Steeves (Irishtown) and Kasey, Sydney and Karley Dionne (Perth-Andover) and one great grandson Alex Steeves (Irishtown) as well as two sisters, Monique and Aline and several nieces and nephews (St. Therese). Claude worked in the field of engineering for over 35 years with SNC Lavalin and AC Maillet Construction. He loved his work and was proud to be involved in the construction of most hospitals throughout New Brunswick. Claude also loved the outdoors and shared many camping trips with his family. Claude had a sense of adventure and loved to travel and learn about other countries.
Visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Lawrence O’Tooles RC Church on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment and reception will take place immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Claude’s name can be made to the Hospital Foundation of HDGLD: attention Extramural Department BB Unit.
