Rosella Mary Patterson – 83, of Greenwich Ridge, Kings County, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at home. Born in Havelock, Digby County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edesse O’Brien. She was a farming wife and partner for over 60 years and was a member of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture. She was a community supporter and in earlier years had been active in several community organizations. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville and the Greenwich Women’s Association. She is survived by two sons, Edward James (Louisa), Greenwich Ridge and Harry Wilford (Pamela), North Alton; one sister, Joanne (Nelson) Doucet, St. Bernard, Digby County; one brother, Neil (Germaine) O’Brien, East Ferry, Digby County; four grandchildren, Laura, Kyle, Riley and Joel; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Clifford. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, Reverend Sandra Fyfe officiating. Burial took place in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Kentville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses, the Valley Hospice Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
