LEVY (Harrison), Hilda Marie, 98, passed away in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne on May 27, 2012, from complications after a fall. Born in Halifax on May 9, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Maria Harrison (Darrach). She lived in Saint John, N.B., Halifax and Jordan Falls, over her lifetime. Her many interests included playing cards, board games, reading, and she loved to dance. She was a member of a bowling club and cribbage club in Halifax and The Sewing Circle in Jordan Falls. Her knitting, crocheting, tatting and needlepoint were second to none. She could often be seen picking wild berries and mayflowers in season and her hands were never idle. She is survived by son, Robert Bradley (Nancy Crowell) of Middle Sackville; daughters, Harriette Cochrane of Scotch Village and Linda Perry (Joseph) of Jordan Falls, with whom she resided for many years; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren; stepdaughters, Juanita Los (Anton) and Verlie Hooper; step daughters-in-law, Rose Holder and Beryl Holder, and their extended families. Besides her parents, and her stepmother, Matilda Harrison (Beazley), she was predeceased by husbands, Jeffrey Bradley, John Holder and John Levy; son-in-law, John Cochrane; stepsons, Thomas and John Holder; step son-in-law, Douglas Hooper; two step grandchildren; brothers, Clifford (Mary), George (Ethel), James (Marjorie), Robert (Grace), and Gloucester; sister, Freida. The family would like to thank Dr. O’Sullivan and the staff of Roseway Hospital for her care. Thank you also to the VON for their previous at home service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
