COLPITTS, E. JEAN – 85, of Diligent River passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Diligent River. Born in New Milton, England, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Harvey) Lilley. Jean came to Canada as a war bride arriving in Halifax at Pier 21 in 1946. She is survived by daughters, Carol Dowe (Kenneth), Diligent River; Susan Wilson (Phil MacKay), Dartmouth; a son, Greg (Joyce Yorke), Diligent River; sisters, Joyce Ramsey, England; Maureen Isemonger, Australia; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth in 1990; a son, Peter; a grandson, Craig. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Jean’s family and friends are invited to a reception in the Diligent River Community Centre on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
