It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Doreen “Dean” McKinnon (Nee Harris), age 85, of Moose Jaw, after a lengthy illness. Dean is predeceased by her parents W.P. and May Harris, her sister Ruth Ohr, and her brother Reg Harris. She will be sorely missed by Gord, her husband of 64 years; sons: Pat (Val) – Assiniboia, Doug (Darcy) – Calgary; God-daughter Wendy Romanuk – Moose Jaw; five grandchildren: Vanessa (Justin) Clarke, Cameron McKinnon, Timothy McKinnon, Jody Knight, and Jessica Ripplinger; great-grandchildren: Alex, William, and Rosalie Clarke, and Deklyn McKinnon; sister-in-law Marilyn (Bob) Bertram; as well as many nieces and nephews. At Mom’s request, there will be no public funeral service. The family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date. We hope her many friends will also remember and honour her life, each in their own way. Special thanks to Dr. Fred Wigmore, Dr. G.B. VanHeerden, Dr. F. Ramadan, the nurses and staff at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital, and G.A.R.U. at Providence Place. Flowers are gratefully declined. In living memory of Dean, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.
