Doris Violet Dwyer
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved mother, Doris Violet Dwyer, 85 of Priestville on June 8, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Irving and Violet (Jollota) MacKenzie.
She is survived by sons: Milton (Elsie) Stewart, PEI; John (Sandra) Dwyer, New Glasgow; David (Gail) Dwyer, Chance Harbour; daughters: Caroline Pettipas, Sheila (George) Coady, Velvet (Ranny Coady), all of Priestville; Teresa (Gary) MacKenzie, New Glasgow; she will be greatly missed by her 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, her chosen daughter Cindy O’Brien and son Jamie Weyman as well as the love of her life Fleury, her little lamb, sisters Jean and Kathy “Doodie”, brothers Jim and Lewis “Bubbie”.
She was predeceased by her husband John Francis “Frank” Dwyer, a son James William Stewart, sisters, Hilda MacKenzie and Helen Skidmore-Doyle and a granddaughter in infancy.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow for visiting from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding. Burial will take place in the Priestville Cemetery.
