Daddy, it’s been a year now and my heart still hurts.
You were my hero.
As we walked side by side, you would call me your “Little Buddy” and tell me I was the best.
Why did you have to go Daddy?
I watch all the other daddies with their little buddies and I walk alone.
I can’t see your big smile or hear your laugh anymore.
Mommy says to look into my eyes and I will see you,
but all I want is to walk side by side with you and be your little buddy again.
To take away the pain and fear I feel so deep within.
No one can take your place Daddy and I will always love and miss you.
