BOYCE, MARY THERESA JOSEPHINE (MATTINSON) - (January 6, 1944 - June 9, 2012) - REXTON, NB - It is with great sadness, yet a tranquil relief that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, Godmother and friend; Mary Theresa Josephine (Mattinson) Boyce. Mom passed away after a not always courageous and lengthy battle with cancers. Everyone who knew Mom can attest to her love of cooking, knitting, gardening and family and opening her home to all who happened by. Mom raised her five children single handedly, and did her utmost to instill in each one of us the best morals and values possible, sometimes with a tough love attitude. We can only hope that we made her proud. Theresa is survived by her five children; Tammy (Neil) Richard of Childs Creek, NB, Crystal Daigle (Tony) of Moncton, NB, Jeannie (Kevin) Cail of Bells Mills Road, Angela (Mark) Evans of Hatfield Point, NB and Jamie (Maxine) Boyce of Ontario, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two God children, four brothers; Albert, Robert, Fred and Clary Mattinson, one sister; Ernestine McDermott and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; Borden and Gladys (Bauer) Mattinson, one great granddaughter and her ex-husband; Donald Boyce.
Visitation will be at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto on Thursday, June 14th, 2012 at 2:00 pm until time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm, Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rexton, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Children’s Wish Foundation, War Amps of Canada or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
