It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jacob Applin of Shoal Cove West, NL, announce his passing on Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s at the age of 51 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Rebecca; children Dana (Sterdie) Sheppard, Bawine Line and Fabian (Jenny), Daniel’s Harbour and Hailey; grandchildren Brayden, Kalan, Brooklyn, Julia and Angelica; sisters Ethel (Robert) Coombs, Sheila (Wade) Barney, Ivy (Elias) Noseworthy, Alma (Wilbur) Tucker, Valerie (Harvey) Gaulton, Gertrude (Cyril) and Peggy; brother Ross; parents-in-law Imelda and Wallace Coles; sisters-in-law Ruth (Spike), Shirley (John), Susanne (Gerald), Patsy (Randell), Norma and Iris (Brian); brother-in-law Henry (Delores) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Muriel, sister Lucy, brothers George and Gordon. The family received friends from St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Reef’s Harbour on Wednesday and Thursday from where the funeral service took place on Friday, June 8 at 2 p.m. with Rev. H.
