NEW GLASGOW – Barbara Margaret McNabb, age 93, of Churchill Dr., New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at home.
Born in Trenton, she was the daughter of the late Donald MacKenzie and Laura Margaret (MacKay) Reid.
She was a member of the First United Church, Trenton, and former choir member and CGIT leader. She was also a member of the Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing the violin and spending time and swimming at the cottage at Black Point.
She is survived by nephews: John (Lynda) Reid, Dartmouth; Kent (Jane) MacKay, Saint John; niece: Susan (Michael Rudder), Vancouver; several grand nieces and nephews; cousin Marie MacKay, Trenton.
She was predeceased by her husband James McNabb, brother: Douglas M. (Joanne) Reid; sister-in-law, Elda (George) MacKay.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Dr. Ken MacLeod officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
