Suddenly at home in Rodney on Saturday, April 16, 2011, Ellen Marie Smith at age 64.
Ellen was predeceased by husband, Captain Ron Smith and survived by daughters, Danielle Marie Smith and Stephanie Leigh Parnell (Rob) and by grandchildren, Jacklyn Paige Parnell and Jordan Dwight Anthony Parnell. Ellen will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Kenneth Cartwright of Bridgewater, Wallace Cartwright (Karen) of Alder Point, David Cartwright (Jackie) of Georges River, Rosanne Boyce of Mongolia, Arthur Cartwright (Mary) of Georges River, Deborah Lalonde (Ken) of Truro, Robert Cartwright (Barbara) of Sydney Mines, Dwight Glenn Cartwright (Alain) of Rodney Ont., Paul Cartwright (Wendy) of Georges River, Carl Cartwright (Joanne) of Georges River and Ruth Lively (Greg) of Debert, N.S. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Cartwright and by infant sisters, Carolyn Ann and Shauna Diana. Also remembered by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service took place in Rodney, Ont. Friends are invited to gather at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. where a graveside committal service will take place, Rev. Carl Fraser officiating.
