At Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Thursday, June 14, 2012, of George Carruthers MacKinnon, O¹Leary, aged 71. Born in O'Leary, on June 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Clarence and Jennie (nee Carruthers) MacKinnon. George is survived by brothers and sisters: Beverly Getson, Unionvale; Betty McCormick, O'Leary; Rankin (Betty Ann) MacKinnon, O'Leary; Adrice (Blair) Collicutt, O'Leary; and Deborah MacPherson, O'Leary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, sister Dawna (George) McCormick, brother Muncey, and brothers-in-law Ken McCormick, Hartley MacPherson and Ralph Getson. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery. In memory of George, memorials to Springfield West Baptist Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
