Passed peacefully away at Bonavista Hospital on Thursday, June 14, 2012, John Holden of Come-by-chance, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan; daughter Kimberly Ann; parents John and Charlotte; brothers Geoff and Anthony; sister Helen. Left with fond and loving memories his children Karen Piercy (Gerald), Christopher (Marie), Kevin (Wanda), Noel (Maureen), Bernard (Joanne), Juanita Holden (Kelvin Arias) and Gerard (Sherry); eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters Kitty Paul, Dorothy Rodgers, Margaret Gordon (Gary) and Ruth Proctor; brother Jim (Thelma) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at the Anglican-United Church, Come-by-chance. Funeral service took place on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Anglican-United Church, Come-by-chance with cremation to follow. In his memory donations may be made to the Janeway Hospital.
