(October 3rd, 1932 – June 17th, 2012). Passed peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on June 17th, 2012 at the age of 79, after a battle with cancer. Loving husband of Elizabeth Marina (nee Hodder) Murphy. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Margaret Murphy of Kilbride and his brothers and sisters. Leaving to mourn children: Marilyn of NL, Patricia of Ontario, Charon (Doug) Varty of Ontario, Jim of Alberta, Ken (Sharon) of Ontario, Daren of Ontario, and Lorraine of NL; sisters-in-law: Agnes Murphy of NL and Lucy Murphy of Toronto; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital for their care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Rd, on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 from 12 noon-2 p.m. A memorial service will be held from Caul’s Chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. with inurnment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. No flower by request. Donations maybe made to a charity of one’s choice.
