Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Homes on June 17th, 2012 following a long battle with Alzheimers, Rita O’Rielly, aged 92 years, formerly from St. Brendan’s and Torbay. Predeceased by husband Greg. Leaving to mourn eight children, eighteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren: Loyola (Eileen) - Chris (Penny, Patrick and Holly), Vanessa (Steve, Matthieu and Grace), AnnMarie (Pete); Genevieve Doyle (Joe) - Joanne (Ronald), Brian (Megan); Greg (Beth) - Derrick (Mandy and Nicholas), Karyn (Trent), Nadine (Steve); Kevin (Beth) - Barbara (Matt), Kristine and Peter; Sheila Dunne (Steve) - Darcy (Jordan and Connor), Riley (Laurie), Kelly (Steve); Bernadette Dunne (Bob) - Tom (Jen and Sophie), Kenny (Nadine); Leonard (Madonna, Meghan and Liam) and Norma. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Luke’s Home for the almost nine years of kindness, compassion and loving care given. You were her extended family and you made her feel at home. Rita is resting at Caul’s Funeral Home in Torbay. Visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Holy Trinity Parish, Torbay on Wednesday, June 20th at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at The Old R.C. Cemetery, Main Road, Torbay. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her name to St. Luke’s Homes, Holy Trinity Parish Fund or the Alzheimer’s Society.
