The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, June 16, 2012, of Lloyd Wilson of Linkletter Road, Summerside, formerly of Belleville, Ont., aged 90 years. Veteran of World War II. Born in Brooklin, Ont., he was the son of the late Charles and Christine (Trimble) Wilson. Survived by his wife Lila (Boone) Stairs-Wilson; sons Calvin (Marilyn), Kingston, Ont.; Austin (Dorene), Tweed, Ont.; grandchildren Valerie Wilson (Kory Cooper), Curtis, Wade and Rory Wilson; stepchildren Judy (Neil) Logan, Summerside; Robert (Marion) Stairs, Halifax, N.S.; Joyce (Duncan) Mackinnon, Port Hope, Ont.; step-grandchildren Chad (Lisa) Logan, Derrith (Craig) MacDougall, Jason Logan (Alison Pitcher), Colin Stairs, Emily Stairs and Kate Mackinnon (Ben Normand); and by step-great-grandchildren James and Patrick Logan and Keegan and Kierra MacDougall. Predeceased by his first wife Leanore (Shaw) Wilson; brothers Allan, Jack, Alfred, Winston and Vernon Wilson; and by a sister Florence Wilson in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to the Bedeque United Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment later in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Ont. Visiting hours Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home Wednesday at 5:45 p.m.
