Merrill Thomas "Bud" Whelan
The death occurred suddenly on Sunday, June 17, 2012, of Merrill Thomas “Bud” Whelan.
Beloved husband for 50 years of Marie (Carragher) and adored father of Lori (D’Arcy) Morris, Elizabeth (Libby) and Andrew Whelan. Cherished “gramp” to Nicholas Whelan and Daniel and Sarah Morris. Bud will be sadly missed by so many people.
Visitation will be held at the Hennessey Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. Please no scents due to family allergies. No funeral by request. A memorial celebration of Bud’s life will be held at a later date.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (P.E.I. Division), the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or the P.E.I. Humane Society.
There was a dad who had three children, became a grampy to three grandchildren. He swung them, spun them, chased them, caught them, hugged them, loved them, praised them and taught them. Oh what happiness he brought them. We love you so very much Dad/Gramp.
