TRENTON – Ruby Grace MacDonald, age 87, of the Valley View Villa and formerly of Albion St., Trenton, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Reid) Murray.
She was a former employee of Strickland Restaurant, Tibbett’s Paint and worked at the Gunshop during WWII. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, original member of the Altar Society and an original member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 Trenton.
She is survived by a daughter, Marion “Bea” (Robin) Morash, Trenton; son, Alan (Diane), Dartmouth; grandchildren: Andrew, Rodger (Lisa), Jillian, Moira; great-grandchildren: Cooper, Blake and Sophie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas V.; son, Vincent; brothers: Lloyd, Daniel, Alfonse, Ralph, Marvin, Emerson and Douglas; sisters: Minnie, Marguerite and Lima.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday, June 22 in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23 in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Christ the King Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Valley View Villa Recreation Fund.
