Stephanie Roberta Gaskins (Borden)

The death occurred in Tampa, FL, on June 4, 2012, after a valiant struggle with breast cancer, of Stephanie Roberta (Borden) Gaskins, age 54, of Tampa, and formerly of York Point, P.E.I.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Priscilla Borden of York Point, and a graduate of Charlottetown Rural High School and UPEI. Stephanie had worked at the University of South Florida, Tampa campus, for 19 years.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Michelle Gough, of Victoria, P.E.I.; her uncle, Ian Mackinnon and his wife Marguerite of Montreal and her aunt, Jackie Leduc and her husband, Paul, of Toronto.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Herb Gaskins and son, Christopher, of Tampa; her sister, Pamela Borden, of Charlottetown; her brother, Alex Borden (Joyce) of Surrey, B.C.; her brother-in-law, Bruce Gough (Dorece MacMillan), of Victoria, P.E.I.; her nephew, John Robert Gough (Lisa MacInnis), of Summerside; her nieces, Jacqueline Gough (Michael Corey), Calgary; Heather and Emily Borden of Surrey, B.C.; great-nephew, Kalen Gough, of Summerside; aunt, Aline Mackinnon, of Heath Mill, Sussex, England; step son, Bobby Gaskins, of Quebec City; as well as many close friends in P.E.I. and Florida.
Two memorial services are planned to celebrate Stephanie’s life. The first will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at 7013 Rivergate Avenue, Temple Terrace, Florida 33637. The second will be held in Victoria, P.E.I., later this summer, date to be announced.
