We, the family of the late Gordon MacFadden wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to family, friends and neighbours for the many expressions of sympathy and support during our recent loss. We are thankful for the phone calls, e-mails, letters, mass and sympathy cards, gifts of food, monetary and charitable donations, flowers, Gideon Bibles, visits to the wake, attendance at the funeral and friends, who joined us at the burial in Gordie's beloved Gabarus. Your presence and kind words were a comfort to us. Thanks to those who travelled some distance to be with us. Many thanks to Rev. David Luker for his visits to our home, the Funeral Home and for the lovely funeral service. We were able to smile through our tears. We appreciate the beautiful music from the organist. Ethel Anderson and the St. Matthew - Wesley United Church choir. The UCW ladies deserve our gratitude for the delicious lunch served following the funeral. We appreciate the readings from the grandchildren Michael and Valerie. Thanks to the pallbearers Vince Boutilier, Danny Finney, Lewis Hinks, Les MacFaddden, Freddie MacIntyre and Randy Seward. Special thanks to the staff of 4th floor Northside General Hospital, especially Mary Cartwright, also the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home, Joseph Hall and MacNeil Place in Cara House for their excellent care, also to Dr. Bill MacDonald. We want to thank the staff of W.J. Dooley's Funeral Home, especially Peter and Dan for the care of our family at such a stressful time.
