It is with heavy hearts today that we announce the sudden passing of Rebecca (Beckie) Avery(nee Butt)at the Grand Bank Health Care Centre, June 14th, 2012, age 73yrs. Predeceased by her parents, George & Elizabeth Butt, in laws Chesley & Clara Avery, brother in law Frank Beck & sister in law Millie Avery. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories, her husband of 49 years, Clarence, only daughter Leslie Ann Rowsell, son in law Dwayne, and the joy of her life, her only grandson Andrew. Beckie has been blessed with a strong family. They too are mourning her loss, Mary Beck of Springdale, NL; Jane Howell(Lester) of Grand Prairie AB; Harry(Vera) of Grand Bank; Georgie Noseworthy(Cephas) of Toronto; Esther Butt of Grand Bank; Fred Butt of Grand Bank; Norman Butt(Miriam) of Canso NS; sister in law Marilyn Randell(Ron) of St. John's; brother in law Eric Avery(Sonia) of |Mount Pearl; special niece Judy Roberts(Wayne) of Sudbury, Ont; and her lifelong friend Vida White of Grand Bank. Beckie also leaves to treasure her life, a large number of nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins & other family & friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Majors Lyndon & Lisa Hale from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank at 2pm on Sunday, June 17th, 2012. Music was provided by Salvation Army Band. Pall Bearers were: Andrew Langdon, Dwayne Rowsell, Eric Avery, Larry Osmond, Leonard Butt & Gerald Bungay. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
