It is with broken hearts and great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Harry on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by family.
Born in Stanley, N.B., he was the son of the late Bruce and Mabelle (Rodgers) Woodcock.
Harry was a kind and caring person who was always there. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and a great friend to all. He enjoyed golfing, walking, basketball, kayaking, hockey, travelling, camping and music, especially the guitar.
Harry is survived by loving wife, Wanda (McComb); two daughters, Sarah and Emily (Bernard), at home. He is also survived by brother, Brent (Brenda) and their son Chris; and sister, Heather (Russell) Randall and their daughters, Jessica (Justin and girls Alyssa and Keirsten) and Kara (Colby).
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 26 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, Sydney, from 4-7 p.m.
We would like to thank Drs. P. Murphy and D. White Halifax), J. Ritter and C. Tobin and Laurie Mortimer, Claudette Taylor and the wonderful nurses of 4B and An Cala Palliative Care who gave comfort and care to Harry and his family.
We would also like to thank our wonderful extended family and friends who are alongside us during this journey.
