Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on her 96th birthday at Meadow Creek Manor on June 23rd, 2012, Dorothy Patricia Cook. Predeceased by her husband George D. Cook (1964). Left to celebrate her life are her children, George R.F. (Loretta), Gordon C. (Shelia), Samson G. (Bonnie); eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family wish to send a very special thank you to the staff at Meadow Creek Manor for their care and compassion shown to “Nanny Cook” during her stay there. Their personalized touch will never be forgotten. Visitation to take place from Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, June 25th and Tuesday, June 26th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
