MacDONALD, Hilda Lillian – 84, Truro, formerly of Annapolis Valley, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 23, 2012, at The Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born January 3, 1928, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Nellie (Parks) Kemp. Hilda is survived by her children, Vaughn MacDonald (Brenda MacKenzie), Bible Hill; Marilyn (Darrell) Johnson, Murray Siding; Paul MacDonald, Dartmouth; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law husband, Leonard O’Brien; sisters, Dorothy (Ron) Slaungwhite, Gwen (Clarence) Manuel, Vivian Ethridge; brother, Ralph Kemp. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Annapolis Valley. If so desired, donations in Hilda’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
